This explorer helps you learn about your genetic results. It is provided for educational purposes only. Before you continue, please read and acknowledge the following.

Educational, not a diagnosis. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease. The explorer does not know your medical history, your medicines or your lab results, and it cannot tell you what is wrong or what to do about it.

Not a treatment plan. Do not start, stop or change a supplement, a food, or a medicine because of what you read here. Your practitioner decides what, if anything, to change, and talks it through with you.

Genes are one input among many. This is a targeted panel of selected variants, not a full genome. A gene result is not the same as the trait it is associated with; many people with a variant never notice it, and many symptoms have nothing to do with genes. What you see is drawn from published research and from inference, and it may change as the science and our reference data are updated.

Who can see this. Your results are visible to you, to the practice that ordered your test, to MaxGen laboratory staff who support your account, and in the access record we keep for security and compliance. We never sell your genetic information.

Your genetic information and the law. Federal law (GINA) prohibits health insurers and most employers from using genetic information against you. It does not cover life, disability or long-term-care insurance.
