Symptom & Gene Explorer — Practitioner Acknowledgment

Version 2026-09-06

The Symptom Explorer and Gene Explorer are decision-support tools for licensed practitioners. They rank a patient's genetic variants against the symptoms you enter and show nutrient forms, foods, lifestyle notes, laboratory tests and safety notes drawn from published literature and from inference. Before you continue, please read and acknowledge the following.

Decision support, not a diagnosis. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease. The rankings and suggestions support your independent clinical judgement and your standard of care; they do not replace them.

You are the practitioner of record. For every patient you open, you are responsible for every clinical decision, recommendation and prescription, including anything printed under your practice's name and logo.

Licensed and within scope. You confirm that you hold a current licence in the state where the patient is located and that recommending supplements, dietary changes or laboratory tests from these results is within your scope of practice.

Check the basis before you act. Interpretations are derived from published literature and computational analysis. Much of it is labelled inferred, weak or moderate evidence; it may be incomplete or contain errors. Review the citations and rationale, and verify against primary sources.

Doses and lab targets are starting points. Any amount, range or "optimal" laboratory band shown here is a literature-derived starting point, not a prescription and not a laboratory value. Adjust for the patient in front of you, and confirm every marker before escalating a supplement.

Results are not static. Scoring, ranking and the reference data are reviewed and adjusted; what you see may change between versions. Treat any output as a starting point, not a fixed answer.

Genetic data has limits. This is a targeted panel of selected variants, not sequencing. A genotype is not a diagnosis and is not the same as the trait it is associated with. Calls may be incomplete, pending or withheld.

Not a medical device. These tools are not cleared or approved by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.

Protected health information. You are viewing protected health information. You will handle it under HIPAA and your own practice's policies, you will not use genetic results for employment or insurance decisions, and you will invite a patient to their own report only at an address you know to be theirs.

Acceptance line. I am a licensed practitioner, or authorized clinical staff of this practice, and I have read and agree.
