Staff Acknowledgment — clinical explorers

As MaxGen Labs staff you can open any record's Symptom Explorer and Gene Explorer, preview the pages a patient sees, and send patients their sign-in invitation. Before you continue, please acknowledge the following.

Minimum necessary. Open a patient's results only when your work requires it. Every view, preview and invitation is recorded in the access log with your identity.

Previews are previews. "View as" and "preview as the patient" show what another person sees; they never save symptoms, never accept an agreement on that person's behalf, and are logged as your session.

No export outside audited paths. Do not copy genetic results or reports out of the portal except through the download and delivery paths that record the action.

Not a diagnosis. The explorer's content is decision support for practitioners and education for patients. Staff do not interpret results for patients; questions about a result go to the practitioner of record.

Protected health information. You will handle everything you see here under HIPAA and MaxGen's policies, and you will report any suspected inappropriate access immediately.
